I was introduced to the world of woodworking in 1974 by
my best friend. His family has owned and operated
a retail hardwood lumberyard and cabinet shop in L.A.
since 1947. I worked for them for 12 years doing both
sales and millwork.
Over the years there I learned the art
of cabinetmaking and woodworking , and when I was not at
work I spent many hours refining my craft.
Late in 1986 I moved to the S.F. bay
area and opened a retail hardwood lumberyard with a
friend of mine, where our goal was to supply
the highest quality hardwood lumber, moulding and plywood
but to continue to offer a complete cabinet shop and mill.
Early in 2006 I left there so I could
pursue my woodworking career by running a cabinet shop
from my home.
Over the years I have assisted many
homeowners, designers, architects, and contractors in
taking their projects from initial rough drawing through
the design stage to its completion.
